About Leyla Tourani

I have a Bachelor in Education from TehranAzad University and a diploma in Early Childhood Education from LangaraCollege. Although I began my degree at Capilano University, I left due tochanges in my life circumstances that required me to move back to Iran for acouple of years. Upon my return I transitioned to full-time work as an EarlyChildhood Educator (ECE) and since dedicated 16 years to this rewarding field.Currently, I serve as a Senior Supervisor at one of UBC's childcare centers.

My passion lies in nurturing children'slearning, with a strong emphasis on the significance of understanding theircultural backgrounds, beliefs, and community connections. I am committed tovaluing each child's unique experiences and fostering an inclusive environmentthat supports their growth both within their own community and the broadersociety.
